Description of route

This route leads completely on the asphalt roads and begins in Decín on the square in Old town, from where we set out alongside right bank of river Labe to state border in Hrensko. Right away from last houses of Decín the sandstones cliffs and lookouts of Stolicná hill tower above us. On the other side of river we can see massif of Vrásník and Certuv hrbet. We ride along river crossing to Dolni Žleb and still before entry of stream Suchá Kamenice we can see on the other side entry of frontier brook with Germany. In Hrensko (we can bounce to Tichá (Silent) and Divoká (Wild) gorge for river-cruise on the pass boats) we decline to the right away from Labe and we ascend over Tri prameny (we can bounce to Pravcická gate - 5 km there and back) to Mezní Louka (we can again bounce to Pravcická gate but this time over Krídelní cliffs - 12 km there and back). From there after short descending we climb again to Vysoká Lípa (possibility to visit ruin of rocky castle Šaunštejn - 2 km there and back, turning to Ceská silnice by lower tavern), from lower tavern we ascend to upper tavern and from there we ride downhill to Jetrichovice (possibility to bounce to Maria´s lookout, perfect outlook - 2 km there and back). From Jetrichovice to Srbská Kamenice we go (except for short climb and coast right away next to Jetrichovice) on flat ground alongside stream of Chribská Kamenice in Všemily and from beginning of Srbská Kamenice alongside river Kamenice. Rosy hill shoots up kingly against us. From Srbská Kamenice we ride to Nová Oleška (on the left hand by the first pond we can see place of aircrash of yugoslavian airplane with monument - world record of stewardess Vesna Vulovic - she survived downfall from 10 km), from Nová Oleška we ascend long to crossing by Kámen. From there we ride already downhill (except for short climb on the end of Ludvíkovice). On the end of Ludvíkovice on the crossing of road Liberec-Decín we can directly turn to right and ride down to Decín. Or we can elongate our journey over Folknáre (then we don´t turn to right but we go straight and by tavern in Folknáre we turn to right and alongside Decín´s cemetery we arrive to Decín.

Description of route

We start in Bynovec by football play-ground, from where we go down to crossing by Kámen, there we turn to left and we ride down again to Nová Oleška. We ride straight to Srbská Kamenice over small hillock (on the right side is place of aircrash of yugoslavian airplane with monument). On the crossing in Srbská Kamenice we turn to left in the direction of village Růžová. We have to step on the pedal plates very much, because the steep uprising await us (150 m in 3 km). Past check-point U kríže (sandstone cross from 18.century on the left - memory of murder of glass-dealer) we ride on flat ground till Růžová. On crossing in Růžová we turn to left and we ascend alongside alley to hill Petrín (with former windmill on the left - today boarding-house), from where we descend to pit past bus-station Nový svet. There we cut across beginnings of stream Suchá Kamenice and again we step to pedal plates in final uprising to Bynovec (there were finishing line of race circuit).

Description of route

We start by restaurant Praha in Jetrichovice, from where we set out to Vysoká Lípa. Right away on the end of Jetrichovice we have to ascend steep uprising to upper tavern in Vysoká Lípa, from where we ride downhill to lower tavern in Vysoká Lípa. There we turn from road to Hrensko to "Ceská silnice" (Czech road - in Middle Ages connection with Saxony). Very soon we knock against turning to ruin of rocky castle Šaunštejn (lookouts from top of it - 1 km there and back). But we continute alongside Ceská silnice - still 1 km of gradual uprising. Then we start downhill run towards frontier, this downhill run we end off by turning to Mokrý důl (Wet hollow), where begin road with new asphalt surface in perfect condition. On the left side we left Ptací kámen (Bird rock). Mokrý důl verge into Táborový důl (Camp valley) - around us we have all the time diverse sandstone blocks. After systematic uprising we finally arrive to fork by Na Tokání (former hunter log-cabins of prince of Kinský). From there we ride down alongside brook to crossing U sloupu (By pillar) (there we can bounce to ruin of rocky castle Chribský hrádek), from where we set out to Dolní Chribská. We keep track alongside river Chribská Kamenice and closely before Rynartice we have to step to pedals (steep uprising). From Rynartice we only ride downhill to Jetrichovice (past Rynartice on the right side are carved dwarfs in the rock).

Description of route

We start from parking place in front of lower pub in Vysoká Lípa, from where we set out along so-called "Ceská silnice" (Czech road) in the direction of north to the state border. Very soon we knock against turning to ruin of rocky castle Šaunštejn (lookouts from top of it - 1 km there and back). But we continute alongside Ceská silnice - still 1 km of gradual uprising. Then we start downhill run towards frontier, in the half of downhill we pass on the right hand Ptací kámen (Bird´s stone), we still descend well into former frontier hamlet Zadní Jetrichovice (Hinder Jetrichovice). There, by the river Krinice, we can enjoy mighty sandstone rocks towering on the other side of river in Germany. From Zadní Jetrichovice we go back along same road, but after 700 m we turn to the right into the Hluboký důl (Deep valley), through which we ascend with green tourist mark, from which we separate after about 2,5 km and we make towards turning to Malá Pravcická brána (Small Pravcická gate) (much smaller copy of Pravcická gate by Hrensko, 1 km there and back). From this turning we set out along so-called Nová cesta (New road), which takes us to the road from Mezní Louka to Vysoká Lípa. There we turn to the left and descend to the lowest point of our journey (tourist turning to Soutesky /Gorges/ and from there we only ascend till we reach starting point of our journey in front of lower pub in Vysoká Lípa.

Description of route

From restaurant Praha in Jetrichovice we set out in direction of Vysoká Lípa, but on the end of Jetrichovice we turn to left to hard surface road (today this section is very annoying due too bad state of road) and we follow stream of Jetrichovická Belá to the fork by King pine spruce (possibility to bounce to fabulous Dolský mill - over stairs in the rock - 1 km there and back). There we overpass stone bridge, pass off mighty spruce pine and we set out in direction to Kamenická Strán. About 300 m past bridge we have second chance to visit Dolský mill if we bounce to right down, otherwise we start to scramble to steep hill (passable only for maniacs with mountain bike - so I recommend to carry bike beside you for the the worst 500 m). Then we can ride again by wood foot path to Kamenická Strán. From there we go only by asphalt roads - firstly to Růžová, where on the fork by water tank we turn to left. After short uprising we go on the flat ground till check-point U kríže (By cross), from where we can rest for a while on bike because we are on the beginning of 3 km long coast (150 m of elevation difference). In Srbská Kamenice we turn to left and follow river Kamenice and past Srbská Kamenice we ride up stream of river Chribská Kamenice (on the left) to Všemily. There we switch from river and we ascend to bus-station above natural swimming pool - by small cross. Then we ride down to starting point of our route. Whole way we had on the left kingly Rosy hill.

On the crossing on the end of Srbská Kamenice we go straight to Nová Oleška (we can cut down this route when we turn to left in crossing in Srbská Kamenice in the direction of Ceská Kamenice, we save 6 km). In the fork in Nová Oleška we turn to left and on the end of village we have to step to pedals, because swithchback before Stará Oleška await us. Then we descend to fork with monument, where we turn to left to short uprising (there we can bounce to lakes of Stará Oleška if we go on the crossing straight). After it we go down to Janská. There we turn to right in direction to Ceská Kamenice (I recommend to visit historical center, that is protected by institute of sights care). From Ceská Kamenice we go to Kunratice, from where we steeply ascend to gap by Lipnický hill (on the right side). Then we go downhill through Lipnice a Studený (on the right side we left kingly hill Studenec) and on the crossing Na potoce (On the brook) we turn to left, shortly we follow stream of river Chribská Kamenice and then we start to steeply ascend to Rynartice. Description of route

This very interesting journey we start from church in Stará Doubice, at first we ascend in the direction of village Kyjov. In the place called "U Doubice" we turn from road to the left into the wood and we set out to the west to the state border with Germany. We go along Starodoubická road in sequence along so-called places First, Second and Third gate to the hill Hrebec (Stallion). From there we continue under top of hill Brtník, we pass Richter´s cottage and then we get us under Kuní vrch (Marten´s hill). Then we steeply descend to Hadí pramen (Snake spring) (60 m to the left from road) and we attach us to the blue tourist mark coming from direction of Panenská Jedle (Virgin Fir). Not quite one kilometre after Hadí pramen we come across so-called Vlcí deska (Wolfish board) (on the boulder on the left side of road) with date 1640 and German inscription (commemorating felling of "dropping" of two wolves by forester J.Grohman). We go further till we come across red tourist mark (from there we can drop in to the memorial, that commemorates death of 8 prisoners, who died there in May 1945 during march of death), that takes us to the Brtnický bridge (place where used to stay former hamlet Zadní Doubice). From the lowest point of out tour (bridge by Zadní Doubice) we set out upstream of river Krinice from state border back to inland along red-marked tourist way through Krinice valley - part of canyon of river Krinice (from Zadní Doubice to Turistický most - Tourists bridge). By Tourists bridge we can whisk to Brtnický rock-castle (green-marked way). From Tourist bridge we ascend further upstream of Krinice through Kyjovské valley (we recall fact, that this way was in middle ages merchant pathway from Bohemia to castle Hohnstein in Saxony - in those days estate of Bohemian Kingdom in possesion of clan Berka, about this also argues fact that in close neighbourhood of Kyjovské valley are 3 rock-castles there). On way we watch bizarre sandstone formations, walls and towers and also articulated entries of lateral dingles. Right away before Kyjov we can climb to Kyjovský rock-castle. Down by the river we bring to notice cavern Vinný sklep (Viny vault), where in accordance with legend hidden passage vents from the castle. From village Kyjov we set out to the right, we have to set to it and then again till the highest point of road above village Doubice, from where we descend to starting point of our journey - to the church in Stará Doubice.

Brtníky, crossing of tourist paths

Description of route

We start in Brtníky - oblong village by headwater of Brtnický brook, with that we keep track first kilometres of our tour through colony Kopec (Hill) to its entry into river Krinice in former Zadní Doubice (Hinder Doubice). Whole time we go along blue-marked tourist way and downhill. Past Kopec we enter woody valley with sandstone rocks, the most interesting natural feature is socalled Velká ledová stena (Big ice wall). From the lowest point of out tour (bridge by Zadní Doubice) we set out upstream of river Krinice from state border back to inland along red-marked tourist way through Krinice valley - part of canyon of river Krinice (from Zadní Doubice to Turistický most - Tourists bridge). Down by the river we bring to notice cavern Vinný sklep (Viny vault), where in accordance with legend hidden passage vents from the castle. In village Kyjov we set out to the left in the direction of Krásný Buk, after several hundreds meters we come across fork, where we have to choose one alternate of our further journey - shorter alternate, directly to the Vlcí Hora or longer through Krásný Buk and Zahrady. If we select first one, we turn to the left and throug narrow valley we get into Vlcí Hora, but if we select second one, we have continue along road to Krásný Buk, where on the fork we turn to left (along red-marked way behind cross-road we can whisk to ruins of castle Krásný Buk - Pretty beech) and we ascend to village Zahrady (Gardens) to the fork (we don´t forgo visit of unique geological map in garden of house nr. 30, that is created from minerals incident in particular localities of Northern Bohemia - national technical relic), from where we ascend again to village Vlcí hora (Wolfish hill). From there we run dowhhill and past intersecting of Vlcí potok (Wolfish brook) we come back to starting point of our route.
